Welcome to my scrumptious, stylish, spooky, happy place!

Bottega Louie

Bottega Louie

Located on South Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles, I always find Bottega Louie is worth the slightly confusing trek through one-way streets, inevitable construction detours, jaywalking pedestrians, and all.  A nearly seven-year-old gem boasting both a delicious Italian menu and the most beautifully detailed gourmet pastries you'll ever lay eyes on, the collective restaurant, patisserie, and market's high ceilings and marble floors lend a boisterous yet elegant feel to this decadent treasure trove.  Always bustling, from weekday lunch-breakers to date night-diners, I recently popped in early one quiet Saturday morning to treat myself to goodies that were delectable beyond my wildest dreams.  From the most elaborate St. Honoré to the simplest, still-warm beignet, the sweet-filled pastel boxes of Bottega Louie are a sure way to my heart (if you can't make the journey, check out their online shop - I challenge you to resist buying a box of their colorful macarons!).
