Located within the Palihotel on Melrose Ave., the charmingly petite, pale blue-tiled Hart and the Hunter restaurant serves traditional Southern-style grub with a modern finesse. Though their menu changes daily, certain staples remain a constant (and are hard to pass up!), such as their rave-worthy flaky butter biscuits served with homemade pimento cheese, honey butter, and blackberries, or their smoked trout with avocado toast. The shrimp and grits are rich and creamy, and generously topped with bacon and mushrooms (the key to this gal's heart), and their pecan praline pancakes and barbequed oysters with thyme and parmesan top my list of items to try next!
