Despite the fact that National Candy Apple Day is 3 short days away (on Halloween!), I couldn’t help but jump the gun and dip myself a diminutive approach to these sweet treats. Similar in size to a cake pop and shaped with a melon baller out of large Granny Smith apples, these tiny yet decadent morsels are just the ticket to celebrate the season!
Mini Caramel Dipped Apples
2 large Granny Smith Apples
1 package of KRAFT Caramels
2 Tbsp. water
Carefully place sucker/cake pop sticks halfway through apple balls (wiped dry from any juicy moisture). Cook caramels and water in large saucepan on medium-low, stirring constantly until caramels are completely melted. Dip balls in the melted caramel, and then roll in a variety of toppings (crushed walnuts, Halloween-colored sprinkles, crumbled toffee, chocolate covered pumpkin seeds, etc). Set on parchment paper to dry.
