The stunning cases -- filled with humanely raised, hormone free meat products, wild-caught/responsibly farm-raised fish, and impeccable freshly baked breads and pastries – demonstrate husband and wife duo Chef Nathan McCall and Chef Karen Yoo’s passion, pride, and supreme culinary craftsmanship. Having worked at David Meyer’s former Michelin-starred restaurant, Sona (where they met), and Daniel Boulud’s New York gourmand institution, Daniel, this heavenly artisanal boutique market showcases such an incredible range of food, it leaves me feeling like a kid in a candy shop, unable to choose what to select first! But without a doubt, I know a buttery, flaky Kouign-amann will always find its way into my purchases – McCall’s is comfortably the best I’ve ever eaten!
