Once again, my delightful day job has provided me the luxury of traveling quite a bit as of late, which brought me this past week to Seattle. With its often-drizzly climate (I foolishly set off on a three mile walk without an umbrella - which, of course, found me drenched by the time I reached my destination!) and foodie options galore, I made sure during my quick time in the city to hit Pike Place Market, the perennial favorite for tourists and locals alike, which was bursting with seasonal tulips (amongst its famous fish monger-thrown fish!), as well as Red Cow -- one of German-born, Seattle-raised, and James Beard-nominated Chef Ethan Stowell's Seattleite restaurants in the Madrona neighborhood famous for its steak frites. I can't wait to return to the city for work this autumn, and am already coming up with a list a mile long of the places I'd like to enjoy next time!
