Welcome to my scrumptious, stylish, spooky, happy place!

Cassia

Cassia

As summer settles in, a cool Santa Monica breeze is a welcome relief on a warm day — almost as much as a chilled cocktail while dining at Cassia. Helmed by dual husband and wife partners (Bryant and Kim Ng of The Spice Table in Downtown Los Angeles, and Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan of the Rustic Canyon family of restaurants), the airy patio of the restaurant’s Art Deco building is the ideal setting in which to enjoy Cassia’s uniquely delicious Southeast Asian-meets-Californian fare. Dishes like Raw Spicy Scallops with dried shrimp, scallions, mint, and chile oil (plus English peas and ham); or the grilled eggplant with lemongrass curry and Asian basil (plus applewood smoked bacon and sheep cheese) perfectly illustrate the balance navigated between both ancestral and modern ingredients.
